Team Polo-Shirts Every time we do a school trip, we always try to get some nice shirts or t-shirts made for everyone to take on the trip, and this year was no exception. Mrs Henderson found this really cool cartoon gorilla on the internet, and contacted the owner of the web-site to see if we could use it. Well it turns out that his creator, Larry Merrill is a professional graphic designer, and he has very kindly let us use his gorilla in exchange for a picture of us all in Uganda wearing our shirts- and shirt for him too! Thanks very much Larry. Your shirt will be on its way as soon as we get them made up. You can check out Larry's web-site, with lots of other really nice sketches and illustrations, at www.dogeachday.com
On our last school summer trip to Peru in 2004, we updated our online diary (better known as a 'blog') regularly as we travelled - which (we understand) was quite popular among friends and parents! Well Uganda is a little more difficult to manage, as there aren't as many internet cafes, but we thought we'd try to do the same this year, and see if we can post some photos as well! - No guarantees, as the Gadget-mans' gadgets sometimes don't work out the way they're meant to, but we'll try. If we do manage it you'll be able follow our progress via link here , or on the home page: http://uganda-adventure.blogspot.com
Movie Stars! We'll also be filming our trip as well, Last time we shot over 7 hours of amazing scenery, fabulous wild animals, and some very funny moments. We'll make this into a feature length movie that will be yours to keep, (or to hide from Granny) on DVD or Video at the end of the trip. (Release date likely to be about November/December by the time it is all edited and completed.) |
